If you are traveling to New York City and are looking for a safe, reasonably priced and convenient place to stay, Astoria is the best place for you. Our 1-bedroom garden apartment, which sleeps up to five people, is located midway between the Ditmars subway station and beautiful Astoria Park-- just a 5 minute walk to each and only 15 minutes by subway to Manhattan (Map of Ditmars Blvd.jpg).
Astoria is a very popular, culturally diverse neighborhood in Northwest Queens, NY, famous for its Greek, Italian and Brazilian restaurants and culture. Astoria is one of the most strategically located areas in NY City, with easy access to Manhattan, Brooklyn and even Westchester, as well as both LaGuardia (10 minutes) and JFK (20 minutes) airports.
My husband and I are both artists. We moved into our 2-family house on Ditmars Blvd. 5 years ago. We live in the duplex apartment upstairs and rent the beautiful garden apartment downstairs.
